Hands-On Equations for the SMART Board

This is a luxury item that is not needed for the full implementation of the program. It has been developed upon the request of Hands-On Equations teachers already using the SMART Board to provide an additional means to illustrate the examples of the Hands-On Equations Learning System and their solutions to the class.
The kinesthetic aspect of Hands-On Equations is essential for producing strong student gains. Hence, the use of this product should not replace the physical elements of the program. Students should still use the game pieces at their desks and the teacher should still use the Teacher's Demonstration Scale and Game Pieces at the front of the classroom.
Each of the examples of the Hands-On Equations red, blue and green manuals is presented on its own slide. The SMART Board application is another medium through which the teacher or student can display a solution to the class.
For example, from the computer keyboard the teacher can illustrate the simultaneous removal of three pawns from each side of the scale.
A number of the lessons have teaching points to be presented to the students as a summary of the lesson. These are available via a pull-out tab such as that shown below.
Hands-On Equations for the SMART Board is available for download purchase or for purchase via a disc.
Note: This product assumes that teachers already have a class set of Hands-on Equations, the Hands-On Equations Learning System or the Instructional Video Manual which provides the concepts behind each lesson of the program.

Hi Dr. Borenson,
I want the info on your SmartBoard HandsOn Algebra license AND your Verbal Problems book. I HAVE TO HAVE THEM! I've been using the HandsOn Equations for 10 years with my 5th graders and I LOVE IT!!! More importantly THEY LOVE IT!!!! I just got a SmartBoard in my classroom last year. I am SO EXCITED to hear about how I can do the demos on my SmartBoard now.
