Day 1: Making Algebra Child’s Play®
The children will learn how to solve simple algebraic equations.
No prior experience with algebra required.
For the Day1 workshop we request that the students, grades 3 - 5, be ones without prior experience with Hands-On Equations. It would be helpful, however, if they can mentally add sums such as 7 + 8 and 8 + 8 + 8, so that the arithmetic does not get in the way of the algebra.
Day 2: Hands-Equations® Verbal Problems Workshop
The children will apply their knowledge of Hands-On Equations to the solution of verbal problems. The children, grades 4 - 6, should have already completed Level I of Hands-On Equations.
Time children are needed: 8:45 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.

In addition, the school may send a teacher to this two-day training session as our guest.
If you are able to provide children with experience with Hands-On Equations for the Day2 student demonstration, we will provide one complimentary license for an interactive application as well as one complimentary admission to the two-day training session.
